Babycakes Cake Pop Maker - $14.99- Kohls

  I went to Kohls to buy an outfit for me but  came back home with Cake Pop Maker.  What gives?My daughter has been eating my head right since she saw one in Bed Bath & Beyond.  I was waiting for the coupon to arrive at my doorstep, but when I saw the product in Kohls I bought it without  any second thought.  I have to let my secret out here. I'm not a baking person.  Come to think of it, I'm not a cooking person either.  Since my daughter is so much into cookies/ cakes and egg is not our thing, I'm forced to bake now and then.  Now, coming back to our story, I came home, searched review for Cakepop Maker.  The reviews were positive but for few downsides.  The main being the machine gets too hot and the cake pops come out flat instead of round.  Having read all these, I didn't want to take any risks.  So with utmost care, I uncovered the beauty of Babycake Cake Pop maker.  I have given here my utmost care tips.  You've all permission to copy/follow my steps!!

• I saved my receipt in case if I had to return.
• I opened the package carefully, capturing every step of opening in my phone, in case if I had to return.
• I read the instructions and understood a little.
• I scrambled the web for eggless cake recipe and landed on one.
• Since I had to take care of the heat, I pre-heated the machine for 5 minutes (as said).  
• I removed the plug after 5 minutes.
• I filled  the holes with only a teaspoon of batter(instruction was to fill with a tablespoon batter).
• I closed the lid and switched on the plug again.
• I kept the timer for 5 minutes
• When I heard the bell ring, I removed the plug,  prayed all  known Gods and opened the lid with trembling hands.
• There I saw was beautifully cooked round(both top and bottom) cake pops.

For the very first time, I got an end result that was exactly similar to the advertised product.  There was absolutely no mess and cleaning was a cinch.  Do I have to tell that I fell in love with cake pop maker?

As I'm not a baking person, I didn't know how to decorate the pops in spite of the instructions.  As luck would have it, I stumbled on a video in youtube, that showed how to decorate cake pops.  Till that time I never knew there existed something called "candy melts".  To cut my story short, my daughter prefers my cake pop than starbucks!!

Only downside is I can't stop making cake pops!!

If I only can make beautiful pops,...........I don't want to appreciate you!!
