Fat Free Yoga - $13.99

See, I wanted to work at home that is I wanted to shred those extra pounds sitting at home!!!Seriously. My time is limited. I didn't want to waste my time getting dolled up for workout or driving car to the gym. I also don't like those exercise machines we have at home because I feel they are so monotonous. I wanted something interactive. My search lead to "Fat Free Yoga". I read the reviews at amazon.com and the very next day I got this DVD from the library. For the record I don't know anything about Yoga. And all the workouts in this DVD are based on Kundalini Yoga and that's greek to me. The DVD is 90 minutes long and there are 11 sections. Since I get only 30 -40 minutes for myself out of 1440 minutes in a day, I was pondering over which segment to do. Again amazon.com came to my rescue. I picked up set 2 (42 minutes) and started doing this yoga meticulously. Everyday I used to check my weight after doing this yoga. My weight didn't reduce. You know right, you can't weight reduce overnight. After 20 days I got so bugged and stopped doing this. Luckily I stopped , if I had not I wouldn't have realized the benefits of this yoga. . On the day I stopped doing yoga, I felt so tired by 7 p.m. and started to yawn at equal intervals. I hate yawning because yawning makes me tired though the vice versa is true. It suddenly dawned on me that for that the 20 days I did yoga, I didn't yawn even once. I was fresh and full of energy throughout the day even though I competed with the clock. (Wow!!Being energetic is more important than being a super model. I stopped checking my weight since then.) The reason may be all the workouts are based on our breathing technique inhale and exhale. Ravi's instructions are very clear and encouraging. I like his phrases "Metabolism moves youth and beauty", "Breath is pure energy", "Breath is pure vitality". Ana demonstrates the workouts passionately. Initially I got distracted because of her dress & her flexibility. I closed my eyes and went with Ravi's instructions. Now I got used to Ana. The background music adds more flavor to the workouts. The best part is at the end of every segment you get to relax by lying down. Also there are two meditation technique to choose from. Twice I had doubts and I sent mail to them and I got immediate reply. I used to get nasal block because of allergies. Since I started doing this, my nasal block has gone on hiatus. Although I want to do the workouts regularly, some days I don't get time to do. But that "yawn" flashes in front of my eyes, and I will do "Energizing Breath Exercise" and will be relieved of that yawn. Incidentally I was forced to check my weight and………….. I lost 3 pounds. 90 days - 30-45 minutes- 3 pounds….Not bad, not bad at all!!!!!!!!
